Phil Ryan The Danby's where next door neighbours to us in Liverpool. Alan and Francis both gave their lives serving with the RAFVR in bomber command

Phil Ryan Sgt Alan Danby RAFVR of 405 Squadron lost his life on 27th June 1942. His body was not recovered and his name is recorded on the Runnymeade Memorial. This was while flying in Halifax W1175 flying from RAF Pocklington Yorks. His plane was shot down after a raid and crashed into the sea of the coast of Holland
