Brigham Young, Mormon President 1860
Brigham Young, President of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS or Mormons). He led the church from 1847 to 1877.
He married his first wife, Miriam Angeline Works, in 1824. He later took 54 more wives. (At least, he was sealed to that many wives - their exact relationship is disputed.) From 1851 - 1858, he was Governor of the Utah Territory.
Note: As a 49er football fan, I have to add that he is Steve Young's ancestor, too!
