Summary

Claude (known as Leo to friends and family) joined the Australian Imperial Forces on 14 April 1915 and was deployed to Gallipoli on 7 August 1915. After a stint in various hospitals he was deployed to France on 4 January 1917. He was wounded by a shell to the thigh on 9 July 1918 and died of his wounds that same day.
