Mary E. Nason Whittier Severance inherited this house from her mother Susan(Spencer)Whittier Carter. Mary's daughter,Marian(Whittier)Hatch inherited from Mary when she passed away in 1943. Marian and her husband Edward G. Hatch,Sr brought up their son Edward G. Hatch,Jr in it. Upon Marian's passing in 1970 her husband lived in the house until he passed away in 1976. The house still stands today. Marian's younger sister Elizabeth was crushed to death by falling logs in the bar in 1902 at age five.

My paternal grandparents,Edward G.Hatch Jr. and Ruth(Brewer)Hatch lived in this house for several years. Edward from 1943 until he passed away in 1964. Ruth from 1943 until she sold it in 1973.
