Obituary

Elizabeth, her mother Norah and her 3 year old brother Paul boarded the Lusitania as 2nd class passengers. Norah was traveling to England to introduce them to her for parents. Elizabeth was 15 months old when she traveled on the voyage. When the torpedo hit, she retrieved Elizabeth from B deck and put her in the lifeboats. She tried to persuade men whom she known during the voyage to rescue her 3 year old son. Thus was forced to leave her infant daughter behind. Norah recalled that she forced her baby in a man's arms. She saw the man didn't have her baby. Elizabeth body was recovered on May 11, 1915 and buried in a covenant in Cobh, County Cork Ireland.
