History of Frances Clara Kleaver Add details
Frances' parents were Joseph and Clara (nee Bambach) Schauer. Frances' birth certificate shows her date of birth as "Feb. 7, 1918." However, all other available records and the date she and her family always celebrated as her birthday was February 27, 1918.
At the age of 29 years, Frances married (on June 7, 1947) John Kleaver, Jr. at her parish church (Most Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church, 3519 N. 14th St., St. Louis, MO 63107). A fulltime homemaker once she gave birth to her only child Patrick, Frances was a wonderful mother to him and a devoted wife to her husband. She retained a charming naivety about things and a childlike sense of curiosity. Whether she understood answers to things that perplexed her or not, she kept being inquisitive throughout her life. She served as a volunteer tutor at her son's elementary school, and was known for her delicious cakes that she would donate at her son's school fundraisers. Even at the very end of her life, she retained her sense of humor and marvel at life. She donated her body to St. Louis University School of Medicine, Department of Anatomy and Neurobiology. Her body was later cremated and her ashes interred in the plot reserved for such donors.
**NOTE: The Social Security Death Index INCORRECTLY shows Frances' last residence as being in "Montclair, San Bernardino, CA." She NEVER lived in California.**
