She was the parent of John Richard Svendsen, Amanda S. Stevenson, and Stewart Haakon Svendsen. She married Lars Birger Karlsen on July 1, 1957 and they later divorced in June 1963. She also married Haakon Svendsen, and they had children John Richard Svendsen, Amanda S. Stevenson, Stewart Haakon Svendsen, and Sandra Amanda (Svendsen) Moseley. Grace Karlsen died at age 82 years old on March 22, 1999 in Passaic, Passaic County, NJ, and was buried on March 25, 1999 at Cremation. 25th St, in Brooklyn, NY, Kings County, NY.
