Harvey Boisvert was born in April 1910 at Home in Holyoke, Hampden County, Massachusetts United States to Denis Boisvert and Marie Louise Laperle, and had siblings Marie-Louise (Laperle) Boisvert, Victor Boisvert, Philias Boisvert, Léo Boisvert, Florina Marie Boisvert, Ida Boisvert, George Boisvert, and Denis Boisvert. Harvey Boisvert died at age 69 years old in January 1980, and was buried in January 1980 at Precious Blood Cemetery in South Hadley, Hamden County.

  • Introduction

    As a young man, Harvey joined a brotherhood at a catholic seminary in Canada, but he joined the US Army in January 1941 almost a year before our entrance into WW II. He studied to be a male nurse at Fort Devens in Massachusetts and served in the North African campaign. After the US victory over General Rommul’s Tank Corps, he continued fighting in Italy. He later fought in the Korean War. He remained in the army for a total of 30 years.

Harvey joined the Army shortly after the bombing of Pearl Harbor. He fought in Africa and Italy during WW II. He later fought in the Korean War. He remained in the Army for thirty years and retired as a Senior Master Sargent.
