Hazel was baptized on ca. October 10, 1999 in Hemphill Free Will Baptist Church 2580 State Highway 317, Jackhorn, KY 41825. Hazel died on May 28, 2011 at 87 years old.

Hazel was the last child born to Edward Seals and Bessie Sluss.She was married at 19 and had her first child ( Edna ) named after her recently deceased father. After that she went on to have 9 other children with Everette Duncan Jr, Shortly after the tenth child was born Everette was shot to death at age 40, leaving Hazel a 39 year old , sing, southern , Mother .She survived, and went on to live a comfortable rest of her life, but lived so long that she saw the death of 13 siblings, both parents,one child, and her only husband.
