    Joseph Mlynarik, age 97 of Homer Glen, IL, father of a local resident, died December 25, 2006. Mr. Mlynarik immigrated from Czechoslovakia in 1923 and moved to Chicago. While attending high school he worked as a baker. Mr. Mlynarik then became a machinist and worked for over 42 years for Hotpoint Appliances, where he retired in 1967. He was a member of the Sparta semi-pro soccer league and the Quarter Century Club. He also played saxophone and clarinet for the Bob Dalton Orchestra. He enjoyed restoring 1940’s and 1950’s Farmall Cub tractors. Mr. Mlynarik is survived by his son Martin of West Lafayette, IN, as well as three grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, daughter, three sisters, and two of his grandchildren. Funeral Services were held at Woodlawn Funeral Home, Forest Park, IL Thursday January 4th. Interment was in Woodlawn Cemetery.
