Lucile Marie (Garnett) Hall Swadley, 97, of Macon, MO, went to be with her LORD on Monday, August 1, 2011, she passed away at the Samaritan Hospital in Macon. Lucile was born on January 3, 1914, near Cherry Box in Shelby County, the daughter of John Oliver and Maude Mae (Aucutt) Garnett. She married Lawrence Dale Hall on October 20, 1936, in Edina, MO. He preceded her in death on July 1, 1966. Lucile later married Robert Terrell Swadley on October 14, 1971, at the Mt. Tabor Church in Atlanta, MO; he preceded her in death on January 29, 1990. She attended the Gospel Center Church and most recently attended the United Trinity Church. She worked at Stamper?s, Coast to Coast, Senior Citizen?s Center and Wal-Mart. She loved her God, her family, children, crocheting, gardening, and working in her yard. Lucile is survived by one daughter-in-law, Bonnie Hall of Macon one , son-in-law, Porter Lee Baldwin of Macon, three grandchildren, Valerie Jo (Hall) Weaver of Sedalia, MO, Allisha (Baldwin) Reynolds of Cairo, MO, Porter Dale Baldwin of Macon, three great-grandchildren, Lyndsay Jordan Boyd, Leah Kae Weaver, and Seth Bennett. She was honorary Mother to Charlotte (Slaton) McLaughlin, Larry Slaton, Grandmother to Joni (McLaughlin) Griffin and Great Grandmother to Jared Griffin and Jacob Griffin, of Columbia. She also left behind many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, Lawrence Dale Hall, her second husband, Robert Terrell Swadley, her daughter, Sandra Baldwin, her son, J. E. Hall and five brothers, Cecil, Lester, Omar, Gene, and John Garnett, and three sisters, Willa Jordan, twin Lutie Slaton, and Laura Ross. At 97 ½ Lucile outlived all of her Siblings and their spouses. Funeral service will be on Wednesday, August 3, 2011, at 11:30 am, at the United Trinity Church in Macon with Pastor Mike Birdsong officiating. Burial will be in the Mt. Tabor Cemetery east of Atlanta. Visitation will be from 10:00 am until the time of service on Wednesday. The family suggests memorials to the United Trinity Church (to be used for the youth). Arrangements are under the direction of the Hutton and McElwain Funeral Home in Macon.
