Walter Severance met Mary E.(Nason)Whittier sometime after her husband John passed away. For awhile there they lived together before marriage in Amesbury,Mass. This was long before living together was accepted. Eventually they did get married.

W.(1894-1899)Whittier. John's eldest daughter,Marion A.(Whittier)Hatch is buried at Union Cemetery in Newton,NH along side of her husband Edward G. Hatch,Sr.
