Mr. Mojtaba Mehrooz passed away Thursday night at his home in Huntsville. Mr. Mehrooz was born in Tehran, Iran in 1925. He completed his education in France and US with degrees in Engineering, Accounting, and Management. He served the Iranian government and people for 3 decades by managing projects in irrigation, water treatment, power generation, and numerous economic development programs. He spent the last 26 years of his life in retirement in Auburn, Huntsville, and Dallas. He is survived by a son Hadi Mehrooz, a daughter Nazanin Mehrooz, a sister Mahin Banou Motahari, a daughter-in-law Kimberly Mehrooz, a granddaughter Emily Sawyer, a nephew Mohamad Motahari and his family.
Visitation will be held today from 1 to 2 PM at Twickenham East on Highway 431. Burial prayer and service will be lead by Imam Haji Azam following visitation. Appropriate head covering for ladies is requested. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in his memory to the charity of your choice.
