Mrs. Hugh L. Scott - 1917 Red Cross Event
Mrs. Hugh L. Scott at a Red Cross Luncheon she gave on the grounds of her house. General Hugh L. Scott was the Chief of Staff of the United States Army from 1914 to 1917 (this photo was taken in 1917). But more interesting, to me, is that he was sent out to the Little Big Horn battle site to mark gravesites for Custer's men killed in the battle.
