    Brian A. Nesheim, 43, of East Hartland, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, (September 5, 2000) at his home. Born in Hartford, July 10, 1957, son of George S. Nesheim of East Hartland and the late Ruth (Skaret) Nesheim. He grew up in East Hartland and was a member of the Bethany Lutheran Brethren Church. He attended East Hartland Elementary School and graduated from Gilbert High School in Winsted in 1975. Brian also attended Lutheran Brethren Bible College for a year in 1978 and went to bible classes at Youth Challenge in Hartford and graduated from their program in 1997. Brian worked as a trim carpenter for most of his life until his illness prevented him from working in 1998. Besides his father, he leaves twin sons, Jason and Mathew, age 15, who he loved dearly and prayed for everyday. Besides the Lord, his sons were the joy of his life. He also leaves his brother, Bill Nesheim of Winsted; his sister, Elaine Nesheim of East Hartland; aunts, uncles, many cousins and friends. Brian attended Glory Chapel while at Youth Challenge and was blessed with many special friends there also. For the last few years of his life, especially, Brian grew in his love for the Lord Jesus Christ, his Savior, and developed a close walk with him. Brian will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Blessed be his memory. Funeral services will be held Friday, September 8, at 1 p.m. at the Bethany Lutheran Brethren Church, Walnut Hill Road, East Hartland, with the Rev. Ole Lillestolen, officiating. Burial will be in East Hartland Cemetery. His family will receive friends at the Hayes-Huling & Carmon Funeral Home, 364 Salmon Brook Street, Granby, Thursday from 6-9 p.m. and Friday at the Church from NOON to 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Jason and Mathew Nesheim Trust Fund c/o Simsbury Bank, 11 Hartford Ave., Granby, CT 06035.
