Young girl in black
Studio portrait of a young girl, in a black dress, sitting in chair. Looks to have been taken in the early 1900's. This is a 4 x 6 picture with some damage, including a torn corner.
This was found among the effects of Elois Turner Humble of Lamont, CA. On the back of this picture is written, 'Velma Clark'. I know of no Clark family related to Elois. Elois's parents were Charles and Atha E. Turner. They lived in OK in the 1930's. It is possible that this person belongs to the family of Elois's step-father, Corwin Walker, born 1891, died 1966 Ventura, CA, or to the family of Elois's 2nd husband, Ray buchwitz, of CA.
