Alfred Henry Knaub of Dillsburg, Pa was born on December 7, 1850 in Maryland and died on May 20 1899 in Dillsburg, Pa. His middle initial is "J". His parents are Henry Knaub and Elizabeth "Eliza" Lehmer, both born in Pennsylvania. On the 1870's Federal census it shows that he had a brother named David age 24, a sister named Sarah A. age 21, a brother named Andrew age 20, a sister named Alice age 12 and another brother named Parcon or Pierce age 10. On the same Census, it shows that Alfred was 19 years of age and that they all lived in Carroll, York, Pa., Dillsburg Post Office. They were farmers and were quite well off compared to their neighbors who were listed on the same Census He is the father of Forse W. Knaub.
