Arturo Toscanini holding what can only be a singing dog. After all, Toscanini was one of the most acclaimed musicians of the late 19th and 20th century. He was a born in (Parma) Italy but he was best known to American audiences as the conductor of the NBC Symphony Orchestra, which was created for him in 1937.
