Audrey Ruth (Shafer) Boger
Audrey Ruth Boger, 89, of Warren passed away peacefully in her sleep at home Sunday May 31, 2009. She was born Nov.12, 1919 in Warren the daughter of Claude K. and Isabel (Pardee) Shafer. A lifetime Warren area resident, Audrey was employed at Mullins Mfg. during WW II and for 17 years as a cafeteria worker for Howland School System retiring in 1982 She was a member of the Second Christian Church of Warren for over 80 years where she was a Deaconess Emeritus. She enjoyed reading and traveling. Her husband Paul L. Boger whom she married Jan.25, 1942 preceded her in death June 12, 1999. She also was preceded in death by her parents and 2 sisters Edythe Bonner and Evelyn Shafer. She is survived by son Timothy (Karen) Boger of Vienna, daughter Sherry (Larry) Harvel of Tampa, FL, 5 grandchildren; Kelli (Joe) Nezdoba of Howland, Mary Jean Boston of Kissimmee, Fl, Justin, Joseph, Derrick O'Brien of Tampa, FL, and 7 great grandchildren. She also leaves a sister Gloria Welch and a brother Claude Shafer both of Warren. Services will be 12:00 PM Thursday June 4, 2009 at the Second Christian Church of Warren where friends will be received for 1 hour prior to the service. The Rev. Gene Eason will officiate. Interment will be in Crown Hill Burial Park. The family suggests material contributions be made to the Second Christian Church 904 West Market St. Warren, OH 44481 or to the American Diabetes Association-Northeast Ohio Office 1815 West Market St. Suite 108 Akron, OH 44313. - See more at:
