I have been researching my Irish Carrolls and Irish Quinns for 5 years as well as related lines. Carrolls back to Hamilton A. Carroll, Sr of York District, SC abt 1812, and Quinns back to Michael Quinn of Oakville, Ontario,Canada abt late 1840's. Still don't know where in Ireland either line came from. All were Protestant.
