Benjamin was born in Hancock County, Georgia on 24 November 1801, died 5 February 1891 in Williamson County, Texas. He traveled with his father John Perry and mother Sarah Ferrell to Perry County, Alabama in 1919. He married Eliza Kimbrough. They had 14 children.
