Bertha Rose (Zlatykanicz) Sositko

Photo Details

My mother's maternal grandmother in the early 1900's. She was born Bronislawa Rosalia (or 'Bronislawa Rozalia') "Bertha Rose" Zlatykanicz on August 12, 1883 in Muszyna, Poland [Austria-Hungary] and died June 23, 1951 in Hamilton, Butler County, Ohio U.S.A.. She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church. She came to the U.S.A. in 1907 and she got off the ship in Baltimore, Maryland. She married John "Jan" "Joannes" Sositko in December 1908 in Hamilton, Ohio.
Her maternal great grandmother, Emerentiana Eva Gertruda (Roskovanyi) Goedl was a Hungarian noblewoman born in Roskovany, Hungary (now Rozkovany, Slovakia).
Several family members has this same exact photo.
If anyone searches for Bertha in immigration records she can also be found under 'Bronislawa Zlalykaincz'. Her name is spelled correctly on the ship list but someone didn't spell it correctly when copying the information for searching. Bertha's parents' names were Piotr "Peter" "Petrus" Zlatykanicz and Apolonia Franciszka Chmielowska (or spelled as Apollonia Francisca Chmielowski). Bertha's maternal grandparents were Joseph Chmielowski and Emerentia Apolonia Goedl, daughter of Francis Goedl and Emerentiana Eva G. Roskovanyi (also spelled as Roskoványi or Roskovany 'Rozkovany'). I have a family chart on the Roskovanyi family going back to the 1200's and I have photos of several different Roskovanyi coat of arms.
