As a child I was told the story of Grandpa Bybee, who was a wildlife ranger, that would stop the indians from pouching and he was shot by the indians weighted down with rocks and leather straps and thrown into a mountain stream, he body was located in the spring after the snow had melted. Is there any truth to this store, I thought is was Byram Levi Bybee (but the stories I've read done mention this.
