My husband Raymond went out to California the winter of 1945. He & his mother bought a 3 acre farm in Alamo. We moved out in January & drove right to the house & moved in. My mother-in-law soon left her house in Berkeley & moved in with us. We went to dinner many times at Forbidden City in San Francisco, a Chinese showroom that featured the best Chinese singers.
