A photo of Charlie Canham
Daniel Pinna This is wonderful! Do you know what kind of uniform Charlie is wearing?

Jackie Wilson That's a good question. According to my grandmother, Charlie was a little bit eccentric. He was born in 1861, so this couldn't be a Civil War uniform as he would have been too young. None of the Canham male children (as in, David, Charles, William, James, George and John) were in American service since they did not come to America until the 1850s. My grandfather, Alva (William's son) was in WW1. This is my favorite of Charlie. I have several pictures of him. Grandmother said that Charlie was her favorite uncle among Alva's uncles, so she had different photos of him. It would be great to find out why he was wearing this uniform.
