"Clifford and Grey" traveling performers
This photo from an old box of auction items purchased ca. 1968 by my grandparents. The photo was made in Milano, Italy. Shown are Thomas "Clifford" Jennings (b.1886 in NC) and his British wife, Mary Agnes (?) AKA "Mona" and "Grey". They traveled the world in a vaudeville group, lived in London, then came back to operate a store in the cotton mill town of Franklinville, NC. Clifford was from the adjacent town of Cedar Falls. They are buried at the Methodist Cem in Cedar Falls.
