american proud! Dora (Dorie) Mcguffey was born on April 17, 1898, in Independence, Iowa, his father, James, was 26 and his mother, Nora, was 21. He had nine brothers and two sisters. He joined the military to serve during world WW1 and died in 1918 on the ship bound for France, at the age of 19. He is pictured on the right.
