Dr. Lynn Chesterman in 1940, supervising wheat harvest: Dr. Roscoe Lynn Chesterman (1873 - 1947) owned livery stables in Richmond, Virginia and later became a veterinary surgeon there. Over the years, he bought land in nearby Goochland County that eventually became a farm and forest of over 350 acres. This undated photograph shows Uncle Lynn (in white hat) supervising a team of workers harvesting his crop using a "Farmall" brand tractor.
