I'm researching my grandmother, Carita Barnett side of the family; their from Eastern Tennessee. Roane county, McMinn county, and Hamilton county. I've found a photo of Mary Barnett in Mississippi, but she looks just like my grandmother. Also, a US Freedman Bank record showns that the mother Regala was born in Virginia.
