I am related to the Tyree/Tyre/Tirey family of LAWRENCE CO Indiana through my Gr grandmother, Susannah Terrell Carr, born 1850 LAWRENCE CO IN to William Terrell and Nancy Tirey/Tyre/Tyree, who was born ca 1813 to Thomas Tyre in ASHE CO NC. William was Nancy's 3rd husband. She also married a Cameron, and Andrew Davis.

It may be that Ed Tyree's father Robert Tyree was related to Nancy Tyree, your ancestor. You might want to call the operator and ask if you can have the numbers of the Tyrees in Lawrence County, Indiana so that you can call them and ask whether they can help you, or email the Lawrence County Historical & Genealogical Society at lchgs@hpcisp.com.
