My Grandmother Ella Rose Williamson Pierce and Grandfather Henry Nelson ("Nelse") Pierce were married on a Wednesday evening after chores were done on the Williamson farm. Her gown is brown taffeta with brown velvet trim. She told me she chose that because it was not practical to wear white. My grandfather owned a dry goods store, but later sold real estate and insurance after they moved to Lincoln, NE.
