Emily Cook Edmonson Carpenter and Daniel Carpenter

Alice, I'm hoping this is a photo of my ancestors. My great grandfather's name was also John Wesley Carpenter. He was born in 1842 in Lincoln Co., NC, and died in 1913. He was living in Carroll Co., VA in Pipers Gap (near Galax, VA) when he died. Is this the same John Wesley as yours? I remember my mom mentioning a Daniel quite often, so I'm hoping this photo is of my family. If so, what a wonderful find! In my records, though, I have Elias Carpenter as John Wesley Carpenter's father. We also have Emily's in our family, and this Emily looks a lot like my mom's cousin.
