Ezekiel Thibeaux gravesite

Johnnie Reese Thibeaux was born November 9, 1935 in Chaneyville, Louisiana to the union of the late Roscoe Reese, Sr. and Bessie Reese. She met and married the late Ezekiel Thibeaux. Visitation will be Saturday July 21, 2007 from 9:00AM-11:00AM. Funeral service will follow at 11:00AM at First Sixth St. Baptist Church with Rev. Wayne Morris officiating. On July 15, 2007 Johnnie answered the call of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and entered into eternal life. Johnnie confessed her faith in the Lord at an early age. She was a long time member of the First Sixth Street Baptist Church. She served faithfully on the G.W. Tolbert Usher Board and was a member of the Susie Joiner Circle. In addition to her church activities she was a member of the Texas Peace Officers Women’s Auxiliary, the Mahogany Ladies Civic, Social Club and Lincoln High School Class of 1955. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Ernestine Thibeaux Marshall. Left to cherish her memory is long time companion, Hayward Johnson Sr; four daughters, Vivian L. Thibeaux, Rachel T. Haley, Martha A. Thibeaux, Tara L. Adesanya; two sons-in-law, Kenneth Haley and Samuel Adesanya; six grandchildren, Stephen, Daniel, Michael, Ashley, Megan and Adara; one grandson-in-law, David; four great grandchildren, Malik, Brianna, Stephanie and Zayla; brother, Roscoe Reese Jr.; two sisters, Willie Mae Fontenot and Mildred Thomas; brothers-in-law, Alfred Thibeaux, Claude Thibeaux, Wilson Fontenot, Frank Grogan; sisters-in-law, Helen Perry, Della Green, Clementine Jackson, Virginia Reese, and Linda Thibeaux; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.
