Finley & Lucille Beard, Oregon 1927
Finley Beard placed an ad in the Western Story Magazine looking for his adopted sister Lucille Beard (Lucille (Tull) Tapp after adoption). He found her through the ad.

Research shows that Lucille was born in Minnesota and adopted in Shawnee Oklahoma. She married George Mann Tapp and had 5 boys. Used the last name Plum when filing for SS# in 1938 and remarried to Frank H. Palmer in Oregon 1938. Any information would be greatly appreciated to Lucille Beard's adoption and heritage.

Lucille Beard was born in Arkansas in 1902/1903 after her brother Finley Beard 3/23/1901. She was adopted in 1903 to a family by the name of Tull in Shawnee, Oklahoma where her biological father, Benjamin Beard also resided. In records Lucille writes different last names, different parent names, and birth year/state (usually Minnesota). She reunited with her brother Finley, both of Oregon in 1927 until his death in 1948. Their biological mother is undetermined but likely a Jennie Curry. She married Ben Beard in Arkansas Nov 1899. After Lucille's adoption, he married Nannie Wallace in Nov 1904 where they resided in the home of Robert T Wallace in 1910 census, listing Finley as a boarder.
