Frederick was my great grandfather - we called him Grandpa Roper. I have may wonderful memories of visiting Tawonga at his home (which was called Mt York). The profile photo is myself on Frederick Ropers prize horse "Prohibition" taken at Tawonga in March 1955 when I was 2yrs old. He married Mary Howman in 1888 when he was 22yrs old.
