1916 NY - getting ready to go out in the woods and cut down a Christmas tree. With the size of that saw, I'm thinking it's going to be a really big tree!!

A 2 man cross cut saw.had one for years ,gave to a friend to paint a scene of some kind on it.

George Lawrence Cummings
George Lawrence Cummings was born to George Washington Cummings (1850 or 53 - 1926) and Mary Catherine Derosia (1882 - 1969) in Three Mile Bay New York. He had siblings Gladys Mae, Hattie Margaret, and Alec J. Cummings, and they were all raised in Lyme New York. George Cummings married Henrietta J Bergh (1911 - 1987) on May 10, 1930 in Watertown, New York, and they had children Vivian E. Bergh, Barbara Jean, Betty Gwendolyn and George Nelson Cummings. When he was in his 20's, George was a laborer in a freight house. In his 40's, he was a driver of an oil truck for an oil and gas company. He continued to reside in Watertown until his death in 1986.
