A photo of George W Key went in the civil war with brothers john b key, jackson key and george's brother in law james m green. they joined the confederate army in louina al, with co k 14th al regiment. during the war jackson died of scarlet fever. george was badly wounded in the leg and gangrene set in and he died on july 4th 1862. james was captured. john was the only one to come out alive, he lived until 1905.
