George William James Allamby
He was the youngest of 7 children. His mother Jane (West) Allamby died in 1922 at the age of 36 years. George lost his brother, 21 year old Walter Allamby(VX129385) in 1942 during the Japanese invasion of New Britain. George lost his first cousin Walter Vernon Wilfred Allamby who was a Flying Officer. He was killed in a training flight over England in 1945. Service No. 428516.
