Standing is my maternal grandmother, Nannie Belle Wise. She was born in Washington Co., VA, the daughter of Catharine McVey (Pictured with her) and James Wise. She married Smith B. Gentry, son of James Gentry and Mary Catherine "Katie" Phillips. We know very little about the Wise family. Nannie died at age 28 of tuberculosis when my mother was 7 years old. ... show more
