A much copied photo of my greatX3 grandfather who came from Butler Co. KY with his family to join his brother, J.W. Porter on new land in Burleson Co. TX. They arrived in 1849, he died shortly thereafter of "bilious fever" per the 1860 mortality schedule. He was married to Matilda J. Wilson Porter who remained in Texas and died in 1890 in Burleson Co., They are both buried in Burleson Co. TX, he, in Elizabeth Chapel Cemetery, she in the Hix Cemetery.

Reba Parks doubt it, I can trace these back to england, and as far as I know no Canadians.
