Heinrich (Henry) Krauss 'Golden Point Mine'
Photo taken to celebrate erection of the Whim (Barrel Capstan) over the 'Golden Point' Mine. Heinrich (Henry) Krauss was the engineer and member of The German Syndicate of five young Germans prospectors who sunk the mine. It was the second richest gold mine on the field often yielding 1lb weight of gold to a bucket of dirt.
