Henry Bock
Henry Bock (6/25/1849 Schaumburglippe, Prussia - 03 Feb 1938 Ulm, Arkansas, Arkansas). He emigrated in 1867. He married Matilda Ida Hartman.

Henry Bock was born on June 25, 1849 in Schaumber (Schaumburg) Lippe Germany. In 1865 he came to America and settled at Campbell Hill, Ill., it was there that he united in marriage with Miss Mathilda Hartmann. To this union 10 children were born, one son and nine daughters. In 1891 he together with his family came to Arkansas and took up a farm about 12 miles east of Stuttgart. Everything in life was not pleasure for death visited his home a number of times and on May 18, 1898 took away his life partner. For about 20 years he labored on and in 1918 was united in marriage with Dora Kreinhoff. It was after this second marriage that he left the farm east of Stuttgart and took up residence in Ulm. However, his second wife was destined to pass away before her husband, in 1923.

Now his home was broken and he lived first with one and then another of his children when he was not living by himself. In 1930 he came to live with his daughter, Mrs. Paul Siems, Where he has resided ever since. The end came suddenly on Thursday morning, Feb. 3, 1938. He leaves to mourn three daughters, Mrs. Paul Siems, of Stuttgart; Mrs. Charles Stecks of Scott, Ark; and Mrs. Ed Blumhorst of Stuttgart besides 22 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. He lived to attain the age of 88 years, seven months, and nine days. May he rest in peace.
