Hillsmon Enoch Goff was born on March 29, 1897, in Tifton, Georgia, his father, John, was 24 and his mother, Mary, was 21. He married Elizabeth Fender "Lizzie" Livingston and they had two sons and two daughters together. He then married Shirley Deloros Price in 1948 in Orange, Florida. He died on May 6, 1982, in Orlando, Florida, at the age of 85, and was buried in Tifton, Georgia.
