Irma Hadley My gg grandmother was named Elizabeth Shaw, married Jordan Parrish in NC. Are you related to them? This is a very unusual gravestone.

Elizabeth Shaw Sorry, no. My maiden name is Anderson, Shaw is my married name and my husbands family all came from England where my husband was born.

Why my Grandfather and his brothers chose to build this unusual Grave We will never know. It was only recently discoverd by a cousin. He did some digging and also found some old family photos of my Great Grandmother and her sons in front of it.
