Jacob Decatur Pruitt/Pruett married Annie Morris 16 Feb 1843 in Benton, now Calhoun Co., AL. Jacob Decatur Pruitt was the brother of my gr gr gr grandfather Jonathon G. Pruitt who named his 1st born son William Decatur Pruitt, and his 2nd son Levi Collins Pruitt. Jacob Decatur Pruitt is the oldest marked grave in the New Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery in Heflin, Cleburne Co. AL.
