Carolyn Pigg Dear Jim,

Do you know where your John Burns orginated from?

My Burns family is Charles Burns, Sr. married Mary Webb, daughter of Merry Webb and Elizbeth Martin; daughter of Brigader General Joseph Martin. Charles came to America in 1737 on the ship Monima, departed from Greenock, Scotland. He was born in Lanarkshire County, Glasgow, Scotland. He married 2nd Ann Ray. He had four sons who fought in the REV. WAR; Alexander, John, Samuel and William Sr. I have seen the photo of your John several times and he reminds me so much of my Burns family. Feel free to contact me, if you wish. [contact link]

Carolyn Pigg Jim, it's Carolyn Pigg again,

I forgot to say that Charles' son John Arthur Burns was born in S.C. But I don't know where. Charles has been in VA, NC. and S.C.
