My maternal 2nd great-grandfather, "Uncle John", John Wesley Moseley Jr., was born on 17 Oct 1836 in Whitesville, Daviess, Kentucky and died on 26 Nov 1936 at the age of 100 years. He is buried at Cates Cemetery in Whitesville, Daviess, Kentucky.

Uncle John, a former soldier and POW of the Confederate Civil War, was the last surviving Civil War Veteran in Daviess County.
