These are my great grandparents:
Helena Gazda and Josef Guter~ Guter was later changed to Goterch. I have reason to believe my grt grandfather was hiding his Jewish ethnicity because his Ellis Island manifest says he was Hebrew but his family was raised Catholic. Josef's mother was Magdelena Zacharyasz. Some Believe the Zacharyasz name to be of Jewish origin. I am not sure though. It's hard to validate.
I just LOVE this photo and am honored to have it in my possession. Imagine! It is 100 years old!!! They were so good looking. The gown is an "Edwardian" style, named for King Edward.
