She had siblings Mary Jane (Walker) Abbott, Nancy Lena (Walker) Dyer, Alice (Walker) Ault, Evelyn (Walker) Abbott, Franklin Walker, and Marjorie (Walker) Shelton. She was in a relationship with David Ward, and had a child James Ward. Josie Ward died at age 88 years old on April 8, 2001.
