Linda Ida (Lavallee) Ulrick of Springfield, Massachusetts County was born on April 6, 1939 at Willimansett in Chicopee, Hampden County, Massachusetts United States to Florina Marie Boisvert and Art Lavallee. She had siblings Jane Lavallee and Art Lavallee. Linda was baptized in April 1939 at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church, Willimansett, Massachusetts. Linda Ulrick died at age 80 years old on March 24, 2020 at Springfield, MA, USA in Springfield, and was buried in March 2020 at St. Rose de Lima Cemetery, Chicopee, Massachusetts.

Jane and her father used to entertain the troops with a singing act during WW II. She sang in four languages when she was two years old. She was in all the local minstrel shows with her father. When she was just eight years old she sang in the children’s choir at the 8 AM Mass, and then again at 11 AM with the adult choir. The choir sang all the songs in Latin Gregorian Chant. Jane went to the Catholic grammar school of the local church and then went to a all girl’s Catholic High School in Chicopee. She attended a school of nursing in Belmont, Massachusetts but later decided that she was really interested in astrophysics. She went to Harvard University and ended up studying geophysics. In 1970 she began working with large mainframe computers for the Univac Corporation. She ended her career as a financial analyst at a multinational corporation which made weapon systems for the government. After retirement, she revived her singing career and sang with a jazz trio and a quartet. She did solo impersonations too. Later, she volunteered in a hospice for HIV/AIDS as well as people afflicted with Alzheimer’s disease.
